Princeton University Library - New Employee Buddy Program
What is the Buddy Program?
The New Employee Buddy Program is a program at the library where each new employee is introduced to a group of experienced employees from different branches or units. They share their knowledge and work experiences in a friendly, informal way. It could be compared to the “coffee committee” that meets with professional staff during their interview.
There is no requirement for the new employee to maintain contact with anyone from the buddy group after the initial meeting. On the other hand, they may find that having one or more of these staff members as an informal contact within the library system helpful.
